My Journey

Hey guys. My name is Justin and I am from the Pacific Northwest. I am almost 35 years old. As a child and teen I was always thin. I am 6'3" tall and I weighed 180 lbs in high school. I currently weight 372 lbs, thats freakin crazy! I am trying to improve myself mentally and physically. I deserve better, my fire deserves better, and my children deserve better. I went back to school and I am in my second quarter working towards an Associates Degree in Computer Network Engineering. I would like to get my BA at least later on down the road. I go to work full time and I go to school full time. So that gives me little free time to do much of anything else. I am currently doing Weight Watchers to see if I can lose some weight. I am using myfitnesspal to keep track of my water intake and my "work outs". My sister has been getting all over me about Weight Watchers since she has currently lost 45 lbs sticking to the diet plan n the app. I am hoping to succeed and sticking to it on this journey of self improvement. Any advice would be great guys. Thanks so much for taking the time to read this. Have a good day, evening , afternoon wherever you are!

Its great you started on this wonderful journey. Its a transformation inteself. So couple of things you could start.
1. Take your photos without shirt and measurements. If possible buy a body fat caliper to measure your body fat every couple of weeks. Since you are 372 lbs your wieght and body fat will drop at a faster rate.
2. The heavier the load the more energy it requires to sustain itself and even move. With this concept in mind the best cardio workout would be either to join a coaching for tennis or swimming where u r made to do drills and which makes it an enjoyable workout. That being said you will easily loose 1500 cal per workout which is great.
3. Any fat loss activity cannot take place in the presence of insulin. Hence you will be eating in a 12 hour window (assuming u r awake dor 16 hours) your 12 hour window starts 2 hours post waking up and ends at 2 hours prior to sleeping. This is called intermitent fasting which stabilizes ur insulin levels, increases your human growth harmone and further torches ur body fat.
4. The best way to torch body fat is to combine it with min 3 day heavy circuit training at the gym. You will be doing your fasted cardio during those 2 hours post waking up and if you want you can continue with your gym circuit. Have black coffee 20 min prior to working out this will help your body to utilise energy directly from fat stores.
5. The above was what u could do in terms of workouts. Now we come to the nutrition aspect. Avoid 3 things
A. Anything that is sweet especially sugary drinks and alcohol. Alcohol reduces your testosterone levels making you susceptible to becoming fat
B. Anything that contains flour
C. Anything that is fried
Have more protein aources combined with complex carbs like brown rice. Avoid white rice and outside stuff like the plague. This will save you a lot of money which you can use for your gym, sports and supplements..
Lastly buy a good quality whey protein, multi vitamin and0 -
Good luck to you ..0
