Hi I am looking for friends to do this together but that have something in common with each other. I have randomly tried to find friends before but it's hard when our journeys are very different. So I am 36, married mum of 2. I have an autoimmune disease which leaves me pretty much wheelchair bound which is tough. I have a lot to lose. I am in the UK so 10 stone or 140lbs for none UK people. I love my food....Obviously. I don't deny I have problems with food. And will never rave about vegetables and salad. So I am looking for friends who want to do this with a sense of humour. Who won't judge if I eat my body weight in chocolate. Who understand that this is really hard......so anyone who wants to add me that would be great x

I don't know if we have a lot in common, but you never know! I am 44, mother of 2 grown up kids and I have sle, systemic lupus. Good days and bad days, lately good. The fatigue makes it hard to actualy motivate and I get tired hearing people tell me to just get more sleep. Anyone who has been through fatigue knows it isn't about sleep. I control my condition through various drugs which aren't exactly great for my weight making losing it somewhat of a challenge. I am more than happy to look at this with a sense of humour as I usually do. I have set myself a rather low goal for now, only 20-25kgs, though in all reality, I probably could do 30 or 35...but hey, start small and succeed! Anyway I would be very glad if you would like to add me, we can have some giggles on the way. I do understand that living with a debilitating condition is tough having been at it for 10 years - it is hard.0

Hi, you can add me as a friend. I'm 48 and a married Mom of one 13 year old girl. I live in the U.S. but my husand is from the U.K. and I'm a bit of an anglophile and fluent in all things U.K.. LOL. I have rheumatoid arthritis but it seems to be in remission now (knock on wood- or touch wood as you'd say in the U.K.). I'm really resistant to cooking at home and eating healthy, but I really need to turn this aroun. My parents are sick and I'm taking care of them and seeing heart disease, COPD and diabetes up close. (And my parents took good care of themselves!!!!!!!!!!). Anyway I'm having a hard time tracking calories. I tend to enter breakfast and lunch and then go off the rails and don't enter my calories any more. So I've set up reminders to gently nudge me to track my calories. And I put my calorie goal up to maintenance so I can hopefully get into the swing of tracking before trying to cut calories. I'm going the baby-step route.
I also have a sense of humor! Usually. Maybe not right now. LOL.
Add me if you'd like.0 -
Hi !
I'm a Canadian mom of 2 lovely young ladies (21&17) married 24 yrs. I've been on mfp almost a yr
I have arthritis in my knees and also adniomyosis (monthly issues). Some days being upright isn't possible
I've been struggling with my weight all my life (underweight as a kid/teen) and overweight all my adult life
