Alternating between the Elliptical & the Treadmill?

I get bored easily on trying to do 30-40 mins on the elliptical or treadmill, doing the same motion as fast as i can for so long. I have both exercise machines side by side, & i was wondering about alternating the machines, doing 10 mins at a time on each machine for example: Do 10 mins on the elliptical, do 10 mins on the treadmill, do this alternating the machines till i've worked out for at least 30-45 mins.
I think the change from one exercise machine to the other would keep me motivated & keep me from being bored. Any opinions?

Or you can just do 20 minutes on each machine. If you're bored with the treadmill, just go running outside or vary the intensity of the machines.

I like 20 to 25 of high intensity on treadmill or sprints out side on a nice hill

I think its fine to alternate doing a shorter time on each. Sometimes I will do treadmill one day, then my next time i do elliptical, i know what you mean about wanting to keep it interesting. Doing hills /different speeds can work too

treadmill track is already moving u can "skip along" when u are doing wind sprints on flat ground or an incline u are getting more of your muscles and body engaged
