How exactly are you using it to punish yourself?2

Punishing yourself for eating sounds like a symptom of an eating disorder. You may want to reconsider your relationship with food and speak with a professional if this is becoming an issue in your life.5

I use it to make sure I can fit a dessert in.
No punishment required, I enjoy a lovely dessert.3 -
The best punishement for overeating would be to eat and excercie healthy till you burn the calories over the TDEE the day you over eat.0

Punish yourself? Dear lawd, why?
Psst: no need to cut out any food for weight loss, you know. Being afraid of eating certain foods/food groups and punishing yourself is a sure way to land into unhealthy ED territory.
And this:Don't punish yourself: ask a friend to do it.
