    Eat at maintenance while on your trip. I visit my father twice a year in NYC. It's rough to stay away from the Restaurants. Halal carts are the bomb but I try to limit myself once a week only due to heavy sodium. Also if u do eat those ask for double lettuce not all the rice

    I lived in Manhattan for 12 years and now I commute into the city every day for work. There are some excellent local chains (small and large). Chain doesn't have to just be synonymous with Applebee's.

    I actually meant large chains... sorry I implied and didn't state it.
