Why Taking Progress Photos Is SO Important

I decided to keep a photographic record of my weight loss as well as tracking my actual weight and I am so glad I did. The bottom photos are my day 1 photos and the top photos are my day 22 photos (so 3 weeks of weight loss). Despite having lost 21.8 pounds / 9.9 kilograms I still felt as big as I did on day 1. Then I looked at my photos.
So, if you haven't done it already, please start doing it. The reason for my big weight loss in 3 weeks is my BMI was 54.5 when I started and 51.64 on day 22. Obviously, my actual weight loss results aren't typical but photos are beneficial to anybody, regardless of how much you have to lose. We definitely don't lose weight psychologically as fast as we lose it physically.

I agree - I also think that seeing how fat I still am after losing two stones stops me getting too complacent an back-peddling too soon.1
