Anyone move to a big city (like LA or NY) from the country?

Why did you make the move -- career, school, experience? Do you like it? And what have been the easier or harder things to adjust to?

I coming on a year living in LA, after moving from the southeast. I just wanted a change (more experiences) and more career mobility. The easiest/best changes have been the weather, the women and the overall vibe. Worst is the traffic, missing family and cost of living. Which is double edged bc I make more but also spend more. No regrets tho, wouldn't change a thing.

Yeah, I lived in L.A. for 10 years.

    .... what was the question?

Opposite. Moved from NY to the desert of AZ. Would never live in a city again. Ain't even much for visiting them.

I moved there as a career move.
Yeah, it was great at the time.

Advice? Live small. You don't need to own a lot of gear to be happy.
