Tea for water

Is there any reason not to count unsweetened fresh brewed tea as part of water intake - I drink a lot of hot and cold tea during the day but not that much water.

I would count it as water, I drink a lot of tea as well, but not that much water. Tea is mostly water any ways, but has more benefits!!0

I carry around a Nalgene bottle that I put iced tea in. I use non calorie sweetener, and can drink a bunch of it a day without getting bored. Definitely count it as water consumption... Plus, it has antioxidants!!!0

My sister-in-law went to weight watchers for a long time. They use to tell them that they could count 1/2 of their tea intake as water:happy: . Apparently the other half counts as flavoring and sweetener  . So that is what I do. I don't really like water at most restaurants when I go out to eat. I always get tea. Most glasses you get are any where from 16-20 oz each. If you drink 2 during a meal then you have roughly drank 2 - 2 1/2 glasses of water. So drink up:drinker:0
