Hi , I'm a short petite girl whose calorie intake goal for the day is 1200 calories. I'm a new mommy again so I fell off since the last time I was on here. I now have two girls a 3 year old and a 3 month old. I need some meal ideas that are low in calories for me but also my 3 year old would enjoy too. And it's a plus if it can be a quick meal. (It seems I don't have time for anything!) I would greatly appreciate some new ideas!

If you are breastfeeding and/or exercising you will very likely need more than 1200cals per day.

If you don't have time to prepare meals, look for slow cooker/crock pot meals that you can prepare the night before (when kids are in bed) turn on the next morning. Dinner ready. If you do a few batches at a time. You can freeze in individual serves. Casseroles, stews, chicken or other roast meat, soups are all good things to do a slow cooker.

Meals that are a hit with my kids are:

tacos made with ground chicken or shredded chicken

baked parmesan chicken - cook boneless chicken in nonstick skillet, cover with marinara & cheese; finish in oven
    spaghetti with whole wheat pasta

Pizza with lighter toppings turkey pepperoni (really good by the way) or Canadian bacon

    Chicken meatball subs

    Pork tenderloin with sides

Hamburgers using ground round or lean ground meat; side of baked fries (my daughter likes sweet potato fries)

Big hit with my kids. Homemade chicken nuggets. Cut boneless chicken breast into cubes, roll in shake n bake; bake in oven

Kids at that age like cute things too. I've made heart shaped pancakes or use sandwich cutters. Makes them feel special. You can make wraps and cut into pinwheels.

For my son who was picky. If I didn't have a vegetable he liked, I would give him a cup of applesauce with his meal

Also, I buy my kids things like individual mac n cheese for sides here and there. Honest you have lots of options. Just be creative and try to reinvent their favorites. I tend to go with 2% cheeses. Lean meats. Then pick sides that please everyone.

Remember your child doesn't have to eat as low fat or low calorie but teaching healthy eating habits is the goal.

    Good luck.

Hi there! I would suggest Healthy Choice tv dinners..you can find them at almost any grocery store. They are usually between 180-300 calories per meal. And are very tasty and quick!

Omg , I'm 4'11 and currently at 132ibs. My goal is to be 120ibs at the very least. When I started I was at 146ibs. I was stuck around 136ibs for awhile but I'm finally starting to see the pounds come off the scale.
