Hi. A couple years ago i lost 22 lbs from myfitnesspal and reached me goal weight. But ended up regaining what i lost and a lil more. Now i feel like a yoyo because I'll count calories for like a week and then binge and so on back n forth. It's so frustrating!!! I need help! I'm finding it much harder this time to stay on track...Any suggestions???

Write out a list about your whys- why do you honestly even want to lose weight in the first place? What will losing weight do for you?

"Do or don't, there is no try". Some people pretend and act like they want to lose weight, but it shows up in their actions. Your goal isn't impossible-It just depends on how badly you want it. If you want to succeed as badly as you want to breath you will get there. However your motivation alone will not get you there- it will run dry and empty, you're going to need discipline to get up and work out even when you don't want to and it happens to everyone. You will have bad days and slumps but you just can't stay there. Are you willing to commit to changing your life? You've done it once- why not again?

    Then start slow:

    1. What is your current weight and height now? Find out how many calories you actually need to be eating. I like this calculator:

    http://scoobysworkshop.com/calorie-calculator/

You just need to create a deficit.

    2. Set realistic goals and expectations each week and think about losing 2-3 pounds at a time. Then keep repeating. I find thinking about the overall number can be daunting. You're not going to lose 15ibs in two weeks. This is going to take time. See that you don't have to cut out "bad" food and can still have chocolate, cake and pizza just log and weigh everything you eat and make sure you're under your calorie target for that day.

    3. You can lose weight through diet alone but exercise has it's benefits. What do you like to do? Don't run if you really hate it, find things that work for you? Zumba, swimming, walking?

Goldenday you made my day! I really appreciate your feedback. Im starting back Zumba class and I realized how much i missed it. I'm 162 lbs right now wanna get down between 130-140. Im taking baby steps but i feel confident that I can stick to it this time. My daily calories is 1500 a day but i try to stay a little under that and leave like 20-40 calories.

It is hard to get started, so I find that when I start to take care of myself with a new work out routine or even new sneakers, the focus on logging and planning healthier meals is easier. I have been in your shoes many times. The focus in maintenance is the hardest part. You did it once, you can do it again!!! Stay strong!

You did it once, and you can do it again, just this time when you reach your goal, don't get back to your old eating habits right away, start increasing your calories by 50-100 per week until you reach your maintenance then get used to staying in your caloric maintenance range
