Hey everyone!
My names Lisa and I'm 26 years old. I'm currently unemployed and trying to get on unemployment, so it leaves me a lot of time to get back in shape. I'm hoping that I can also go back to college this Spring 2012 so that I can get an associates in Business Administration. If I'm on unemployment I can apply for a program and if accepted, they will cover my costs of attending college and keep me on unemployment until I complete a degree. So.. hoping that happens! Unemployment sucks but realistically I know I'll never finish my degree unless I go back full time and I see this as my opportunity. I have only 3 credits so I have a lot of work ahead of me!
I'm at my highest weight EVER and looking to slim back down to 120lbs, which is a loss of 60lbs that I will have to lose. I'm hoping that by logging on this website and having some people motivate me that it will help me lose the 60lbs that I've gained. I worked at a very high stress job (military) and gained the majority of my weight while I was in the army. Now that I'm out, I'm looking to work on "me" and get back down to my pre-army weight. I've had a million "re-starts" but never really stuck with it, mostly due to stressful job and the travel it required. I'm a stress eater so it didn't help.
There was no "aha!" moment for me, except that I've been trying to get back down to my pre-army weight the whole time I've been enlisted and never made it. I'm just not happy where I'm at, and not being able to fit comfortably in my own skin. I didn't know what size of clothes I wore the other day, which I think put a little bit more fuel to the fire. I tried on a size 14 shorts since I don't have any clothes that fit me, and it was a little tight. I've never been a size 14 and it made me feel crappy and realize that I needed to get off my butt and get back in shape.
So I'm looking for people to become friends with and keep me motivated.
I know if I can stick this out I could lose all the weight in 6-7 months.

Hi Lisa! I'm Lindsey!
Just wanted to say that I'm about where you are! I'm looking to lose about 45lbs in the next 5-6 months (cuz that's when my marine comes home from overseas!!) I've also had, as you say, a million restarts. Like I've been yo-yo dieting for EVER. I was at my heaviest back around this time 3 years ago and I was at 194. I got down to 155 in about 5 months! But now I'm back up to about 168. :P But I'm really serious about losing the weight this time and I really want to keep it off!!
But good luck to you with your weight loss!!! You can add me as a friend if you like!! I'm all about support and motiviation!!
Have a great day!0
