chocolate cravings while on low carb diet

I'm allowed 25 grams of carbohydrates per day, but I am a chocolate lover.
A mini peppermint patty has about 9-10 grams of carbs, for example.
Anyone have any suggestions?

Peppermint patties are more the sugary mint filling than they are chocolate.

Most people on low carb diets, including keto, who want chocolate eat plain dark chocolate. But you need to get the kind with a high cacao content...I usually get 72% or, even better, 85%. Anything less has a lot of sugar. Trader Joe, Lindt, Green & Black, Ghirardelli, etc. all make this type of chocolate. This will save you a few grams of carbs.

I usually get small mini bars and eat 1/4 or 1/2. Probably the equivalent of 1 or 2 squares that some brands sell. Even with the good chocolate, you can't have a lot of it. It does still have some carbs...just less than the lower quality chocolate. Many people...including me... find a little bit very satisfying though.

Eat cacoa nibs or paste or make your own chocolate by melting cacao paste and sweeteing with stevia ps all these are for super chocoholics and not for the faint hearted ;)

I just made a low carb mousse with heavy cream and a package of sugar free chocolate fudge jello mix. Just don't overmix it or it gets super thick. Just a little bit of this helps curb the craving for me.

Kirkland protein bars (brownie and cookie dough flavours) might work. Warmed up, they're amazing. It lists 4 g "net carbs" because it's mostly fibre and sugar alcohols. A half a bar is a nice sized treat.

A square of high quality dark chocolate usually worked for me. (I started with 70% cocoa and worked my way up to 85%. ;))

I'll also do a serving of Breyers chocolate carb smart ice cream sometimes (more often now than the dark chocolate), or make sugar-free hot chocolate. I used to make the chocolate fat bombs but lost my taste for them fairly quickly.

I have this great not sweet at all brewing chocolate -- you make it like coffee, I use a french press. I love it.

I like unsweetened baking chocolate. Or you could mix unsweetened cacao powder with coconut oil and stevia extract and refrigerate it until solid

Try a magnesium supplement, chocolate cravings can be a sign of deficiency (or of being human lol but it's worth a shot)

I make chocolate fat bombs and couldn't have managed without. I like chocolate keto mousse and make a recipe and just eat a little each day as it's so filling. I use xylitol for the sweetener in these and chocolate keto cake in a mug. Recipes often use almond floor and a sweetener such as Stevia. I find the recipes very filling, like I've eaten a piano, if I have too much.

This here. I added a Magnesium Citrate supplement every other night and that really has helped!

Might help also might not but you could try a chocolate whey isolate mix it with a little bit of water and freeze it. Wont be a piece of chocolate but it might help with the craving.

Atkins makes sweet chocolate treats. They are sweetened with a type of sugar alcohol (erythritol, I think) that is not absorbed by the body but I've read sometimes causes gas. I've tried them and they taste pretty good and didn't cause any gas for me.

This. Except I like the 78%. Doesn't taste as bitter to me and the difference is only 1 carb.
