If you have a calorie deficit while eating those macros, yes.

Any "diet" works. It's all about a calorie deficit. Having a healthy diet - the 40.30.30 isn't bad.

This is what i have my macros set to, not that i ever hit them perfectly! I treat the 30% protein and fat as a minimum, I hardly ever get 40% carbs.

I just naturally veer toward high protein and somewhat higher fat foods. I've never really been a high carb eater, other than the days i indulge in my nemesis..... Breakfast cereal, then all bets are off!

best thing to do is find out what caused it and treat it. if you have stomach fat to lose you will have to eat in a deificit to lose it or do a recomp(which is eating in maintenance and lifting heavy if you dont want to lose weight)

then cut out anything that causes you the issues,why/how does it keep reoccuring? have you been treated for it in the past? it should not keep happening if you are taking the proper precautions to prevent it. did the infection cause some damage and that is whats causing you the issue? these things are usually caused from eating contaminated food or drinking contaminated water. or foods grown in contaminated soil and lack of hand washing and so on.it should not be a recurring thing.Im confused.

    H. Pylori is generally treated with two antibiotics and a proton pump inhibitor. Have you been treated?

If you're still having symptoms after treatment you need to go back to the doctor. H. Pylori bacteria can cause gastric ulcers and other nasties so these need to be investigated.

    ........................

I have done zone/paleo before and found it to be a good macro split.

yep,I have it its bacterial, stress doesnt cause it. stress can cause ulcers. and yes once you are treated it stays in your body but you should not be having issues still from it. if so I agree with lizery and see a dr.I was diagnosed several years ago and havent had it come back. I do have acid reflux and right now I am treating gastritis other than that my belly isnt that big. there isnt much you can do except to see a dr to make sure it did not reoccur and if so be treated for it again.

h pylori and bacterial gastroenteritis are two different things(caused by different things. both of which can be treated.you can have gastritis from it though(stress can aggravate the gastritis as well as caffeine,NSAIDS. you should probably be on a PPI/H2 blocker if you are having stomach/other issues from it.

You should've specified in the original post that it's for other health reason than losing weight.

Macros doesn't matter, wich matters is the kind of foods you're eating, if they complicate the symptoms so ask your doctor what you can eat. Also drink good amounts of water.
