Hi and welcome !
I found my cholesterol numbers improved greatly with (i) reducing my overall calorie intake slightly which resulted in weight loss; and (ii) increasing my activity level which resulted in HDL ("good") cholesterol / LDL ("bad") cholesterol ratio improving quite a bit.
Has your doctor recommended any dietary changes for you? Have you considered asking your doctor for a referral to a Registered Dietician (RD) to prepare a dietary plan specifically for you based on your health status?2 -
Adopt a healthy lifestyle and your cholesterol levels should come down. What you are eating may not be the reason for your high cholesterol, only 20 to 25% of your cholesterol levels come from what you eat, your liver produces the rest. There may be another issue here at play which is causing your liver to over produce cholesterol. Your best bet is to google "low cholesterol diet" stick with it, exercise regularly and see if your numbers improve. Ideally you want to avoid going on a statin medication if you can but sometimes that's the only way to bring your levels down.1

Hi, healthy fat diets are very good for decreasing bad cholesterol and will also help with pre-diabetes. Check out the ketogenic diet but if you can't go straight into it then start by gradually increasing good fats and lowering your carbs but keeping calories at below maintenance level0

I located some respectable sources about dietary information and blood cholesterol.
The US National Institute of Health provides this: https://nihseniorhealth.gov/highbloodcholesterol/faq/faq9.html
The UK NHS has more detailed information: http://www.nhs.uk/Livewell/Healthyhearts/Pages/Cholesterol.aspx
Best wishes for improving health!1
