Hi im a bit confused about pasta calories
I love my pasta and feel like i sometimes over estimate my portion sizes
Ive been trying to weigh out my pasta but when on the packet it says for example 100g is 260cals.. but i dont know if this is dry or cooked weight? Very occassionally it will state "as sold" or "cooked" but not all the time. So does anyone know when it doesnt state it, if it is dry or cooked weight??

With pasta, the default is always dry. I've only seen one, once, that ever listed cooked. Mainly because dry weight is always the same, while cooked weight will always vary because the longer it's cooked, the more water it absorbs, which increases the weight without adding calories. There is little consistency with cooked.1
