I have a challenge because I'm salicylate sensitive and therefore unable to tolerate about 90% fruit & veg, herbs & spices (all the healthy stuff) and I'm trying to lose 10kg. So far managed 4kg with a struggle. Can anyone with a similar dietary challenge offer any advice. Thanks

Hello, I also have salicylate sensitivity. I used cranberry supplements for urinary health and unknowingly filled the "bucket" to overflowing. I believe that bananas, cabbage, celery, peeled potatoes, peeled pears, peeled yellow apples, limes, cashews (no forbidden oils) and many variety of beans are foods that we can tolerate. I also use protein powder, eggs, fresh meat and fish. For seasoning I use salt and malt vinegar as well as a little garlic and onion. For dessert dark chocolate, malt, ice cream (no corn syrup). I take a zyrtec everyday, I understand that it makes benedryl more effective in case I get into trouble.
    What have you tried?

Currently in the same boat. My trigger was Stevia, used it only in my coffee / tea since around July, then in October had hives which turned chronic about a month ago. I have always suffered hay fever and environmental allergies. My food allergies are normally minor and don't bother me unless I come across a trigger like this. Apparently Stevia is related to rag weed.

My hives has settled down a lot since I stopped it, but now I'm still reacting to dairy and Salicylates. I'm hoping it will settle down soon.

I am also salicylate sensitive. I just joined today and I find it hard to find good food that I can eat without getting sick. If you have found anything that work please let me know. I am 20 years old and also have juvenile arthritis, I am trying to loose about 50 pounds to start but find eating right and getting exercise hard to do due to pain and food allergies. Thank you ahead of time if you have any advice.
