I had lasik on Monday, May 1st, and am going to start exercising again on Monday, the 8th. Has anyone else had lasik? If so, how long did you wait before exercising? Thanks!

as soon as I felt ok, only a few days.0

Was the surgery worth it? Any complications? I'm thinking about doing this. I'm tired of glasses fogging up and contacts being annoying and expensive.0

LOVE IT! But my eyes got worse before they got better, but they did get better. Before surgery I was legally blind needing contacts and reading glasses. Now after 3 months I don't even need the reading glasses. Make sure you go to a very reputable Dr. and the Valium was appreciated. Very weird experience, but painless.1

I got mine done in the beginning of March. So far so great for me! I got them done on a Thursday morning and I got back to my running the next Monday so just 3 or 4 days later.1

I went back to my normal routine 3 days later. No problems here. I would imagine a week would be more than enough time.
Unless you're doing something weird with your eyes while exercising....like eyeball pushups...in that case you may have a problem.3 -
Thanks! And yes, would definitely recommend it. Not wearing glasses is awesome!

I waited 4 or 5 days, and made sure to wear a headband of some kind to keep the sweat away from my eyes. I'm 6 months post-lasik, and it is one of the best things I have ever done for myself! Congrats to you!0

Been working in the eye care field for 5 years, you're good! Had mine done last October and love it!0

When the doctor tells you it's okay. If they didn't say in the post-op instructions call the office and check.0 -
I had the monovision laser correction (fix one eye to see close, other eye stays the same for distance). Best $ I ever spent. Don't have to search for glasses to read a smartphone.0

I was out hitting baseballs a few days after my surgery. The only restriction I had was to avoid contact sports. I had no issues. It has been more than 12 years now and I still have 20/20 vision.
Good luck.0
