Erm... Hi....

Hi. I'm Ashtyn. I'm 23 and have been married for 2 years now. Idk what really to put... Im bipolar and I struggle with motivation, unless I'm in my mania phase... But yea...

My Goals:
- Plank for 1 minute with minimum resistance.
- Drink a gallon of water a day.
- Eat healthier
- Exercise more than once a week
- Get to 180 lbs at least.
- Feel better about myself, less insecure.

I can plank for 27 seconds now, I'm pretty out of shape/obese. I emotion eat which is my I want to eat healthier. For the water my middle goal right now is 2 liters of water a day, hoping to step that up though. Um.... Yea... Idk. I need to get a proper scale to weigh myself. Im guesstimating.

Thank you. Honestly I was kind of upset about how bad I am at planking and exercise in general.

    Hiya, Ashtyn! I'm Diana, welcome!

Don't you worry about the beginning and how sucky everything is. The reality is, it will be really crappy at first! I've trained my whole life, but when I've let myself loose I remember I couldn't even hold the plank for five seconds!

I am sure we can all get over this sucky feeling without giving up:)

Please do and don't give up! It'll be hard, but worth in the end:) Remember sleep is the most important part, then diet and then exercise! Don't expect results in the first month, they'll be there but we need to allow our bodies to accommodate with the change! Especially when it comes to water intake and that "boredom hunger" as I call it.

You can add me if you wish to chat, I have no idea how the app works...kind of a noob here haha

A 30 second plank is certainly a respectable plank, especially since you are putting a more considerable load on your muscles than someone who is lighter--be proud of that. If you do it a couple-three times a day, that will help you see progress. Try thowing a few push-ups in there too, even if you have to do them on your knees or standing against the counter.

Also, when it comes to "being bad at exercise," the trick is to find things that you enjoy and that you are good at. Remember, brisk walking is exercise too! I started with a lot of walking and cruiser-style bike riding, and pretty soon I was running, picking up and putting down very heavy things, and got my mountain bike back down off the wall of the garage.

I love your calico cat! We lost ours last fall and I still miss her terribly.
