Diabetic & Trying to Get it Under Control

My name is Laura. I'm new and I'm using this site as a way to help me control my blood sugars. It has a great app that tells me how many carbs I'm eating. I could stand to lose weight as well, but my main focus right now is to get a good control on my blood sugars. I am insulin dependent and I've spent the better part of a year ignoring my disease. I didn't test, I took whatever insulin I thought was appropriate for what I was eating, it was stupid. I find it is much easier to control it when I'm at work vs. home or traveling. I would love to meet some other people who understand how exhausting this disease is, but if you don't have diabetes don't let that stop you from communicating with me. I'm looking forward to getting to know people and hopefully I can offer some support to you as well.
