I'm an 5'8" 18 year old guy, in the past 4 or 5ish months i've lost 49 pounds. My current weight is 155 which is in the healthy range so I have stopped looking at the scale as much and am focusing on changes in inches mostly instead. I would like to have a flat stomach, currently I dont have one. My waist is 32.5", BMI is 23.6, and my body fat percentage is 18%, I was wondering if anyone has knowledge on what my body fat percentage/BMI/weight would have to be to lose my belly fat. I'm not saying I necessarily want to be able to see abs but I would like to have a flat stomach. I excercise enough (typically 1000cal a day) but my diet can tend to be lacking in the health foods area. Any advice, knowledge, or suggestions on how to get where I would like to be would be very much appreciated, Thanks!

The pesky belly fat! I have it too and am trying to get rid of it as well. My exercise routine involves a lot of cardio such as 30 minute jogs, 30 minutes on the elliptical, and high intensity workouts. I also play basketball as much as possible. Most recently I have really been trying to work on the stomach region. I am doing crunches, bicycle crunches, vertical leg crunches, planks, and squats every day to strengthen my stomach muscles. Hopefully these exercises plus the intense cardio will eventually work off the belly flab. I just started doing the 30 Day Shred Jillian Michael's dvd with the wife too. Its actually a pretty hard workout that has me sweating a lot and doing a lot of the same crunches and movements as I was already doing.

I have a barrel chest and lumbar lordosis due to that. Is it even possible for me to have a completely flat stomach? I'm at 149 pounds, estimated 16%-18% body fat, 5'6", 32" waist. When I do the "chest out, stomach in" pose, my stomach goes mostly flat, but that's not exactly a pose I maintain during regular activities.
