you look up at the clock and think it's time for lunch and you get all excited...until you realize that you ate your lunch at 10 AM because you were starving even though you just had breakfast at 7 AM and now you have to drink a bunch of water or eat an apple or something to get you through until dinner?

I hate that.

BUMMER....maybe you need more protein. Sometimes people don't eat enough protein for breakfast especially.

That happens to me because at work my lunch is different. Even if I'm not hungry, I find myself excited and then disappointed. :grumble:

You know what I had for breakfast? A big shake with peanut butter, banana and a big 'ol scoop of whey protein! After my lunch, I'm actually OVER my protein goal for today. I had a major workout this morning though...but I also think I'm just having a stupid, hungry day!

Maybe hold the PB next time and add some oats to the shake and blend it all up. I find my oatmeal shake on a morning keeps me full for a long time compared to my normal protein shakes.

I can understand this and relate when I was on a traditional diet. But I don't let myself get hungry on low carb. And all that protein, which is probably higher than yours, does help keep me not hungry. I'm never full. I'm just not hungry.

    What was your morning snack?
My own personal opinion is that 7am till noon is WAY too long to go without another snack/meal. I always have my breakfast at 7am, snack at 930am, lunch at 12, snack at 230, supper at 5 and another snack at 730ish. These times vary (but usually 2-3 hrs between them) I am never really hungry unless it is mealtime!

Hold the PB? Are you insane? Just kidding. I like the oats idea - I haven't done that yet. Thanks -

I had some almonds and some blueberries. I just ate a Fiber 1 bar and I'm feeling better. But, I've just been feeling hungry in general the last few days and I'm SO over it! I traditionally follow your eating schedule too -

Oh I know!! lol I LOVE my PB shakes!!, but with the oats and PB it would be a mega calorie shake!!!

...and going over on your protein is fine!! MFP figures are low!! You can consume a lot more and it wouldn't be a problem.

Holy Cow - you're NEVER hungry? That's amazing. I can't go low on my carbs because I work out too much and I get really hostile without them...but I might try to increase my protein even more.

I hate it. I get up like 6 a.m. with my dogs and have breakfast then. By 10 I'm starving so I eat lunch. By 3 hungry again, etc. Anyway, I've been eating 4 smaller meals and it seems to be helping.
