Popcorn at night?

Is eating popcorn at night counter-destructive to my weight loss? I'm talking about home made popcorn that's within my calorie count. But what my question really wants to know is popcorn considered a carb and should I avoid it it at night while I watch tv because then my body will just turn it to sugar before I can digest it? That's more what I'm unsure of.

If you are eating within your calories......nope it won't hinder weight loss. Weight loss is calories in vs. calories out.

I don't watch carbs because I don't have medical issues. Popcorn is at the upper end for low glycemic index (not the best, not the worst) it also has lots of fiber. http://www.livestrong.com/article/327664-where-does-popcorn-fall-on-the-glycemic-index/

Never been an issue for me, I eat popcorn most nights.

You can lower the calories by air popping or using a microwave popper with minimal oil. It's relatively low calorie for a lot of volume.

I love popcorn and I air popped and add Tabasco sauce. It is delicious. I just count the calories.

I have found unsalted mixed nuts to be more satisfying.

Carbs don't add any extra calories just because they are a carb. A calorie is a calorie. I eat popcorn almost every day.

I had chocolate popcorn just before bed last night. It resulted in me hitting my protein goal. I consider that a complete win!

I always air pop my popcorn and then add butter and parsley so I can control the amount of butter/calories. Buying fake butter popcorn is
