This weight loss has been done using MFP cal countining, running, initially on a C25K program and later 5 K runs 3X a week and some trail cycling on days I do not run. I am 5'8" and 50 years old.

Images from Sept 2016. I weighed 225 and was in the obese classification. At this point I could not run more than a minute without becoming winded. I started C25K in Dec. of 2016. Ran first 5K in Feb in 35 min.

Images from 5K race on May 12. I weighed 187 and was able to do 5K in 27:22. My goals are to get to 160 and improve my 5K time to 24 min by the time I turn 51 in Oct. after which I plan on starting to train for 10K.
I appreciate all the inspirational stories on this forum. Whenever I feel like not running or working out, one trip to this forum is all I need to get motivated again
