Here's to the healthier side of life

Hi everyone!
I'm Danielle. I saw someone who had a blog from another website using this so I thought I'd give it a try. I've used the food tracker just for today and was proud to see that I ate less than what was recommended for me! If that's not a motivation to continue becoming healthier I don't know what is. I've been in the mindset for a month or so to eat healthier and I've already seem differences (like not wanting sweets as much or anything like what I was eating before).
My boyfriend proposed to me on the first day of summer and we made a promise to ourselves and each other to lose weight and be healthy and happy when we start our lives together (officially, I guess?). Weight issues have been a problem for the both of us and there's also health problems that run in both of our families that we don't want to happen to us. I've always tried to work out and all that, but it never lasted. I feel that this will be a great motivator. we have a Wii game system where we use the fitness games to work out. We also have a bike and are planning on getting a treadmill and weights soon so hopefully that'll help out! I also decided to blog about my journey so I can always look back on it, when I do get there (because to me, it's not a matter of if).
Any tips and/or suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Welcome aboard. Feel free to add me as a friend if you would like. I have been on here for over 2 months now and I love it. The support is so grand. I feel that the more friends and supporters you have on here, the more motivation you will get and alos give. Good luck to you and your boyfriend both.0

Welcome and congratulations on the engagement. Feel free to add me if you need some support. It can be tough to stay motivated especially when it comes to working out. I use to be a work-out-aholic but lately my life has been a bit more sedetary that I had hoped. The hardest part for me was just starting but then it will turn into habit which I am now in the process of doing. Once you keep on track it will be strange feeling when you don't work out..haha. Good luck to you!0

Thank you everyone for the congrats! I've found the website really supportive so far and I've only been on here for a day! He basically is my immediate support system because my family is two hours away and I don't have any friends where I currently lived (moved a few months ago and not having a car didn't make it easy). I agree that it's tough to stay motivated but I think by writing in my blog and keeping track of what I'm eating will definitely give me a lot of motivation. I'm excited to make healthy meals and feel the sweat run down my face, knowing that I have a goal to reach. The hardest part for me is continuing. There were days when I was working out that I didn't want to do it (I like to call them lazy days). But i got up and felt better in the end. I hope that I can motivated even more this time!0
