What is your favorite shake or smoothie?

Preferably something you make yourself.

My favorite is ice, fruit, and milk.

I'm currently going to try something with yogurt but I'm a little hesitant since I don't really know or can find any recipes I like.

I make my own what I call a pb cup protein shake...

    1 cup unsweetened almond milk
1 scoop JM vanilla whey protein powder
    1-2tsp chocolate syrup
    1tbsp creamy peanut butter

It's fantastic!! Sometimes I leave out the chocolate, but either way it tastes amazing!

Other days I'll add the almond milk and whey protein powder with no sugar added frozen fruit of any kind. Delish!

I make a smoothie everyday for my breakfast break at work. I blend up strawberry Source yogurt (35cals), a packet of splenda, 3/4 cup of mixed frozen fruit (60cals), and fill the rest in water. Makes a delicious filling smoothie, that while better freshly made, is still very tasty and thick by the time I drink it a few hours later. All for less than 100 calories.

This is the one I make on the weekends for breakfast or lunch:

1 container of plain nonfat Greek yogurt
    1 c. frozen strawberries
    1/2 c. skim milk
    1 frozen banana

Blend until smooth. There are many different variations you can do with this depending on favorite fruits but this one is my favorite.

I make this one for my family every morning in about 5 mins.... note that the quanties makes enough for 3 of us!

    1/2 cup skim milk
    1/4 cup POM juice
    1 heaping tbls milled flaxseed
4 heaping tbls greek yogurt ( I use fat free vanilla)
    1 tbls honey
    1 banana
roughly 2 cups mixed berries (you can use fresh or frozen - if frozen reduce ice a bit)
    a cup of ice

put it all in the blender and blend!

I used to make one that had:

frozen fruit (strawberries, mango, pineapple, berries, what ever you like!)
    1/2 an avocado
    plain or vanilla yogurt
milk, or water, or coconut milk, or whatever floats your boat

you could also add juice or frozen juice if you want, but I think those are mostly empty calories

you can also add a big, huge handful of spinach leaves and I promise, you won't taste it!

    Half avocado
    1/4 cup coconut milk
    1 cup frozen blueberries
    3 - 6 - 9 essential oil (1 tsp)
    3 - 4 leaves kale(blanched & frozen makes them easier to blend)
    Water if needed to thin

    Sometimes add greens+

    Mango-Strawberry

I make it with the frozen fruit from Trader Joe's -- two parts mango to one part strawberry. I add either milk or filtered water. Sometimes, I may add in a little honey. And, then I blend it on the "smoothie" setting. (I found that I can freeze this and make ices for myself, or even let it defrost a little to make another shake.)

    and

    Berries, etc.

I'll dump a single-serving container of cherry or some other berry type yogurt into a blender. (I've even tried prune.) I combine that with other berries, e.g. strawberries, blueberries, maybe some bananas. Sometimes, I add honey or agave syrup to sweeten it more. I'll add milk if I don't think the yogurt is enough.

The frozen fruit eliminates the need for ice.

I make my own smoothie for either breakfast or lunch! It has...

    1 banana
    3 strawberries
1 kiwi (if I have them)
    3/4 cup milk
    3/4 cup vitamin water zero
    3 ice cubes
    6 oz vanilla chobani yogurt

It really helps me to get my protein in

    1 cup yogurt
    2 cups frozen fruit
    1 cup skim milk

Makes enough for two of us. Have been thinking of adding some protein powder to make it more filling. Still looking into it though.

    Those all sound so gooood.

I never thought of adding honey! we have way too much of that. Haha.

I never thought of adding spinach either. That would be interesting, too bad we have none and I'm too lazy to go to the store. xD
