so... i recently started doing leg presses and found out i need about 900 lbs for max reps...
which means i gotta take plates from other stations.... i feel terrible. i try my best to return the plates equally to every stations and i minimize grunting or dropping.
is over plating leg press machines a gym crime? im completely new to working out in a gym.

Did you typo and mean 90lbs? Because 900 lbs is half a ton.

Is it a seated horizontal leg-press machine that looks like this?

as ninerbuff said, this sounds very suspicious...you just started working out and are leg pressing that?? full range of motion?? are you squatting as well or only doing leg press??

    If not trolling...
Why not pre exhaust with other leg exercises, and/or do more reps so you need less weight...?
Leg press for sets of 20-30 after heavy squats and I doubt you'll need "900 lbs".... lol
    Gym crime averted.

Lol, new to working out and you're leg pressing 900lbs? I smell a troll. Even the STRONGEST guys in the gym with gargantuan legs would find 900lbs with a full ROM leg press challenging.

OP made no mention of ROM though lol
I can totally see some jabroni loading up all the plates for a 2'' ROM leg press and thinking they went beastmode >:)
I see people trying to do that for squat all the time, leg press is even more of an ego stroke.

I have the same issue with the kegel machine.

But do you wipe it down after you use it?

pff, I never wipe equipment down, before or after.

well thank you for your trollings.
i only had one good answer so far.
i havent tried squatting because i have terrible gout on my left big toe. thats why i tried leg press (45 degree i believe) after a month of gout medication.
but once that gets better, ill try to switch to squating and high reps for leg pressing.
i have watched many videos on youtube about people with bad forms and high egos. so i talked to a trainer there to watch my form/rom and i was approved.
one thing for sure is to re-rack the plates. noted.
