People's reactions to Weight Loss vs Weight Loss Surgery

People are weird, and can be down right mean.
I find it interesting how many people think I've had weight loss surgery when they see I'm losing weight. I have not hat it (but I probably would have if my insurance had covered it).
Some people don't believe me when my response to their question about how I'm losing it is "Eat less, move more". They think I'm LYING...seriously?
Two of my daughters have had surgery, and have lost weight. I am very proud of them and the hard work it took to get where they are today, but some people think it's "cheating". I watched them recover, and then work through the side effects. Then cheered them as they learned new eating habits, and made exercise a part of their daily lives. It was in no way CHEATING! They used the resources available to them to get their health on track.
I find myself defending surgery, which doesn't make anyone believe me when I say I have not had it! LOL
What is wrong with just supporting each other? Cheering each other's victories, commiserating with others setbacks?
Anyway (just my rant of the day)... that is one thing I like about MFP. People here seem very supportive of each other's journey..no matter the path.

Everyone has a struggle. Everyone is different in the way they choose to overcome that struggle. #nojudgement0
