More Cardio?

Hey everyone! Quick question, I feel like I've been so hungry lately and it's been making it hard to stay in a deficit. I'm currently doing more strength training than cardio which is giving me only about 300 exercise calories a day/5 days a week. I get nervous to eat those because I don't really know if those calculations are correct but even with me being nervous, I still eat almost every one, lol. Ok the flip side, I can burn 500-600 an hour doing a kickbox class or step class. Am I better off just doing the cardio so I can have more wiggle room for food? I still have 40 lbs to lose and would like to be able to eat 1500 easily without worrying about not being in a true deficit. I get nervous though because I see some people say the strength training makes your body look better than cardio. So maybe I can ramp up the cardio classes for the next few months and then get back into strength training closer to goal (like last 15 lbs)? Does any one have any thoughts? Thanks!

I'd aim for more balance. Lift full body, heavy, 3x a week. Add more cardio.3

What do you have your base calories set to? What is your weekly goal set to? If it's 1200 calories and 1-2lbs a week, you CAN eat more without doing cardio.
And yes, lifting 3 days a week is just fine as is adding back in cardio.1 -
Cardio for me tends to increase my appetite. Obviously everyone is different and requires you to test it out but I would be cautious about overdoing the cardio - try and do an equal split0

Hi! I'm set to 1 lb a week loss with my daily activity set at sedentary. My daily calories are 1350. I watched some YouTube videos of what people eat in a day and they seem to eat a lot more food but end up with less calories at the end of the day than me. So I think I'm going to look more on how to get more out of my 1350 a day. Thank you!

Right on to that! I didn't even think about it but I agree with you there. I would probably be even hungrier than I am now. Thank you!
