Steps and calories added

I've recently bought a Mi Band 2 and have it connected to Google Fit.

Today I connected Google Fit to MFP and for some reason MFP has credited me with 990 calories! I changed activity level to Not Very Active and was going to let my step count dictate my activity level but this leaves me needing to eat 3000 calories for today on only 9000 steps, which seems a lot.

I'm thinking it might be the way GF works out calories burnt during exercise as sometimes it seems a little excessive but even then the end of day calories burnt is lower than MFP!?

Can someone shed some light on this?

I can't help with your specific activity tracker, but yes that cal burn seems high. Although it does depend on your size - a larger person burns more calories moving around.

I'm on the short side :) but my Fitbit usually gives me @ 300 cals a day for 8000+ steps. I'm set at sedentary. Hopefully someone with more info will come along, it might help if you are willing to post your height and weight, as that will affect your burn.

My actual tracker gives me far less calories burned. That only has it at around 220 ATM but unfortunately I have to take a long route to link it to MFP since there's no other way.

For my stats medium-light activity I should be around 2450 cals but that's based on my own calculation and does seems to help me maintain weight.
