Not sure if this is the right forum for this, but I have a Magic Bullet Smoothie maker and it's great. Make at least 1 smoothie a day with it. But it's not lasting very well. It's my second one and likely will need to be replaced in the next few months. I love the convenience of making a single drink at a time.

Can anyone recommend a good replacement that will last? Perhaps have bigger cups?

Thanks

Mike

I dont know about bigger cups but my mom gave me one by sunbeam, its basically the same thing but cheaper I think. it comes with 2 size cups, dont know the sizes though, but i'm sure its comparable to the bullet. its in my attic, right now, i used to use it to make baby food. Never though to take it out for smoothies or protein shakes. I'll have to get it out!

Seriously? I've had mine for almost 2 years. Weird.

Check Bed Bath & beyond, they've got several.

I got one a while ago, i don't think its made for anything too hard or heavy duty use. Seems to work good.. :drinker:

I have a Hamilton Beach Personal Blender and really like it, it holds at least 14 oz. My only complaint is about the blade being in the bottom of the cup...but hey it works great :) and its super cheap

I have a Cuisinart that I've had for several years and it's going strong. I recently found out that I can screw the base onto a mason jar, so I usually just make my shakes that way and just drink them out of the jar.

I've fallen in love with the Ninja brand. I bought the Warrior stick blender/food processor. You can use whatever container you want and just put the stick blender in there.
  • I have the bullet too and use it almost every day for so many things (from salsa and guacamole to protein shakes to italian sodas). Ice seems to be it's enemy though so I try to make sure there is enough liquid in there to help it out. The rubber blade rotor is getting worn out and it over-heats easy these days, and it's making a horrible noise...more horrible than it's regular horrible noise. I've had it for about two years now and I'll use it til it's bitter end. I'm glad you posted this because I've started secretly looking for it's replacement... don't tell my Bullet that - you know what happens when you piss off the kitchen staff...

Thank you all. I'll check out your suggestions.

My first bullet last well over 2 years, and I loved it. But the new one, while still working good, is starting to leak around the blade into the motor area. I should look see if I kept the blade from the old one now I think about it.

I only use the large size cup, but some times when you add fruit, liquid etc, it's over the limit. So a cup a third of the size bigger would be great.

Want to add me as friend, go ahead.

    memro

    thanks
