Looking for whole food plant based snack ideas for the commute home from work (approx. an hour depending on traffic and then another hour to cook dinner). I have been eating a cutie (satsuma/clementine) but that doesn't seem substantial enough. I am starving when I come through the door. Trying to balance it out so I don't overeat and then not want dinner. Anyone experience this? Tips?

You can also make homemade Larabars with dates and nuts. I usually just roll those into balls and have one because they can be quite calorie dense. That's my go to road trip snack

Bananas work well for me when I'm wanting a fruit that is filling.

Thanks for the ideas ya'll. I am nibbling on some pineapple these last 5 minutes and have a quarter of an apple for the ride home.

RedheadedPR - Can I have the recipe for your baked oat bars? Thank you!

Pickles, cheese stick or string cheese, almonds.
