I'm back again to lose the weight I have gained working the night shift, I have finally put my mind to it that I will lose the 15 pounds I have gained in a year. Hoping to make friends along this journey to my weight loss yet again.

I work as a nurse tech at a hospital. That has been the toughest thing for me to stay consistent.. night shift isn't easy...

Oh right why is that? Sorry to sound dumb. Is it because it is hard to have access to food? If so maybe you could consider bringing food from home. It is great you are a nurse tech, your work helps a lot of people's health.

I don't know if you've tried re-naming your meals to time periods instead? This has helped a few people who work night shifts. You can do this in diary settings.

    For example

Breakfast you might rename Midnight - 6am
Lunch you might rename 6am - Noon
Dinner you might rename Noon - 6pm
Snacks you might rename 6pm - Midnight

Hey, I work nights too! It can be pretty rough to stay on track. I renamed my meals, like tinkerbellang was suggesting. I've also been trying to pack most of my food, so I stay away from the sugary crap in the vending machine.
I think I'm also going to try and stop eating a big meal when I get off work, and try to just do a small snack.

But I feel your pain. Plus, night shifts are hard enough without trying to eat healthy and lose weight! At least as a tech you're probably really active!
