So I have a stupid question. I have noticed once in a while I will get curious and weigh myself later in the day after I have done allot of walking or cleaning etc.... And have not ate anything and my weight has gone down. I get all excited so I'll step right back on the scale and it will say something different then I'll step on it again and it will say another wight. So my question is are any of these weights the accurate ones or am I just being paranoid?

weight fluctuates through out the day. I would weigh at the same time, on the same scale everyday.

First: STOP weighing yourself several times a day. Hydration, food intake, water retention, ToM, hormone levels and bowel movements all play a role in a wide range of weights that can change at the drop of a hat.

Second: if you expect to lose any notable amount of weight in a single day, it may be time to drastically readjust your weight loss expectations. Anything more than two pounds a week is more than likely an unhealthy and unsustainable rate of loss that that often sets you up for bingeing due to over-restriction weight rebound.

Some people weigh in every day, but if you're just starting out and/or tend to get hung up on weight fluctuations, I'd recommend weighing in only once a week, or every other week. You didn't put on all your excess weight in just a few days, give your body time to lose it at least as slowly as you put it on.

Don't weigh multiple times a day.....you will just be frustrated. It's meaningless. Water weight messes with the scale big time. Higher sodium meal - bam! water weight. Sore muscles - bam! water weight. Time of month - bam! water weight. The scale is just ONE measurement. A tape measure is another. Body fat % is another; a tougher measurement to come by - it's not as easy as stepping on a scale. Body fat% is significant. You could weigh more, yet look thinner with a higher % of lean muscle. It sounds weird but muscle is very compact.

What you are looking for is a downward trend......over time.

No such thing. You lose/gain weight breathing over time. As an example my weight fluctuates ~5 lbs throughout the day. This is just normal water weight fluctuation.

Regardless of the accuracy of your scale all that matters is a trend in the direction you want this to go.

Yup - this is paranoia. Get out the tinfoil.

You are acting paranoid & obsessive. Stop doing that before you make yourself nuts!

If you're weighing a several times in a row and getting different weight amounts your batteries may be dying. If you're weighing several times throughout the day and getting different weight then that's typical.
