Doing this sort of late night restless "prowl" around my home, wanting more food, and wanting advice

I went over my calories today, but since I worked out hard yesterday and today and didn't log that exercise, I feel like I hit the right amount.
I had a delicious dinner of baked cod and swiss chard planned for evening, but when I got home after my workout I was just craving sugar, and ate a bunch of bananas. Like, I had a banana binge! Then I was still craving carbs, so ate a very fattening piece of bread with some sauteed spinach. Now, I'm craving something really carby and unhealthy, like a pile of noodles with some meat. There's plenty of healthy food in the house, but nothing like that. Plus, like I said, I've already exceeded my calorie goal for the day.
I know that weight loss happens over time, in increments, and so it won't come down to one meal. But I often have late evenings like this when I'm just so hungry and I'm not sure what to do.
I'll will my way through tonight, but I know nights like this will pop up again. Does anyone else have nights like this, and how do you deal with them?
And yes, I know that I can prevent nights like this with more protein, better eating, etc.

I don't know, but I had a similar evening- I ate dinner and then really wanted to just keep eating. I just told myself that I couldn't have it and I'm just trying to distract myself now with reading the success boards on here and drinking water. I also took a walk.2

Distraction is good! I always think that one of the reasons I always lose weight while traveling is because I'm focused on so many other new things having to do with the environment.1

I've heard it said "Cravings and hunger are like terrorists, if you reason with or bargain with them they will keep coming back"1

Lol a pile of noodles and meat.
I feel ya. I want to binge sometimes too. If I feel hangry and need a sweet snack I reach for an apple. Then I think to myself if I want more, no is the answer.
Honestly, if its easily measurable, scan with MFP, and its within parameters, go for it.
At the end of the day if I'm way below my target I'll binge on something healthy and not processed. Homemade hummus is good. Dang, even a few tablespoons of tahini is good at night.1 -
I don't eat breakfast ... that gives me extra calories for evening snacks.0
