Anyone else feels fat after eating too much salt?

I bought one of those deli sliced chicken breast the other day and made a sandwich with 2 servings. When I woke up today, my bottom jaw and upper neck felt jiggly, and I knew it was from the salt intake. I looked at the nutrition label and saw that the servings are over 700 mg of salt. Does anyone else ever feel like they gained weight anywhere else on their body parts (not including stomach bloating) after taking in too much salt for the day?

Yep! Too much sodium can make you swell right up! Chinese food is one of the worst offenders, all that soy sauce.0

Of course - that's what happens when you eat something salty. My hands swell up.0

It seems to me that you are trying to keep your salt intake quite low, somewhat below 2300 mg.
If I'm correct in that assumption, then it would make sense that a rare relatively high-sodium day for you would cause enough water retention that you could notice in your jiggly parts. For me, who is not attempting to stay low-sodium, in fact I'm making efforts to get high sodium, this side effect from sodium intake is not present.0 -
Sodium makes me bloat up for a few days every time. We had sushi last night and today I'm swollen and up 2lb from the soy sauce0

I've never noticed any difference, even when I'm eating pretty low sodium most of the time. I suspect people vary in their susceptibility to it.1

Yes. I'm extremely sensitive to excess sodium and can easily gain five pounds of water weight that takes days to come off. I feel so puffy and jiggly during that time too.2

Omg yes. Yesterday was a sushi day and I love wasabi mixed into my soy sauce so YES, I'm CRAZY bloated today. My jeans that have been wonderfully loose around my tummy from slimming down are totally tighter today.
But I still have leftover sushi soooo, I've just resigned myself to being bloated for the next few days... Because it's delicious. Lol
