Is it true that doing cardio first thing in the morning not having eaten anything causes faster weight loss than having eaten and then exercising? Or is it the same due to CICO? Thank you

There is some truth to it. But I do it when I have time to do it0

I think it's the same, cico...0

It does nothing to help weight loss. The advantage is that it conditions your body to get energy from fat more efficiently.0

It's not true. Your body doesn't work that way.2

Only difference is that you are shifting the parts of the day when you are in deficit (fasting, exercising) and surplus (meal times). It all evens up over the course of the day - your deficit over the entire period is what's significant.
May have some benefits to some people from scheduling around their daily routine and exercise performance but for weight loss it's irrelevant.

Excellent, evidence-based discussion of it here by James Krieger: http://weightology.net/fat-loss/fasted-cardio-an-undeserved-good-reputation.html/0

Fasted cardio is really great at making my stomach hurt lol .0

I tried fasted cardio for a week once. After looking at my performance metrics, even if there were a physiological benefit (there isn't), there's no way it would be enough to offset the fact that I was dropping 10-14% in overall performance.0
