Hi there, I've been here for a while and what I have done so far is this: I lose a bit and then gain much more. Right now I'm in a position thay I hit the rock bottom, the most I weigh in my life! I don't even want to go out and walk! During the day it's ok but I can not help the late night cravings. What do you guys do about it?

Hi. I have night craving too. I eat cucumber if I am not able to say no. Has something dramatic happen in life make you yo yo? Believe in yourself, you honestly can do it. Once you out start walking you then realise you joy it. So even just tell yourself I go out walk 5 minutes. Maybe set up a meet and talk with friends. Amazing how far walking you do when talking. But you can do this, believe in yourself.2

I don't think there is much you can do but sit through it and wait for the cravings to pass. Try to focus on the progress you made during the day x0

I don't eat breakfast. Breakfast is kind of like an "on" switch for me. I eat breakfast, and I'm hungry for the rest of the day. So by not eating breakfast, that means I've got calories for evening snacks.
You might need to look at how you structure your day's eating. Perhaps eat less earlier in the day so you can have a snack later.
Also, some people find teas helpful. Personally, I like rooibos teas and lemon-ginger tea. Then I'll go with chamomile later in the day.
And hobbies ... go for a walk, even just around your house. Clean the house. Take up knitting, drawing, photography. Take a class ... go back to uni and start working on your next degree, then do homework all evening long. Do things that will distract you.1 -
try to substitute something that is more fibrous. maybe have a small bowl of oatmeal (steel cut) with splenda?0

When you get these night time cravings, what kind of things are you eating? Perhaps try eating a banana or some turkey or something containing tryptophan. This will help you sleep and once asleep, you won't be eating. I also have late night cravings but try not to beat yourself up about it. Please add me as a friend if you like so we can discuss this more.0

Try to stock up on some healthy snacks. For me it's almonds and pistachios. Have them ready...im like a mouse...if I'm up late I'm going to snack.0

its sooooooo tough. i live to eat at night. so i do three things:
1) limit what i keep at the house - like chulipa said - but i keep a few things
water - i drink a lot of water at night. Then i have to get up and pee a lot (bonus steps!)
4) Plan it! I know some days i want a drinks... or chips... or both... i do my best to put them in my counter earlier in the day so i'm already accounting for it.
Good luck! you can do this!0
