Running from a Mid-life Crisis

Hey all! So I just turned 35 in April. Single mom of two, a boy (15) and girl (10). Full time job. Full time student. Sports mom. And holy cow the years have not been kind! I yo-yo on the scale about 25 pounds either way. Drop it really fast and gain it back faster. It's been a pretty consistent gain every year of 10-15 pounds and now here I am at 295. My knees are bad, my feet and ankles swell, my back gives out. I FEEL OLD! I know I'm not, but my body doesn't. I live in Northeast Ohio and the weather finally seems to have given way to warm temps. Just downloaded a 5k training app and I'm going to give that a shot. I've completed three in just over a year, but I can't run and I'm always in the back. Looking for friends for motivation, tips and tricks, recipe ideas, and to vent to. Best of luck to all!!

I hope it's not a mid life crisis at the age of 35!

I thought I was having a middle age crisis at 43 but was told I'm too young. I too was old and beat up till I started training properly a few months back. I'm now way fitter and stronger than I ever was - feels good! You'll get out of this funk and start feeling awesome again soon. It's hard work but worth it.
