Do you ever question the calories?

Do you ever go over a recipe 3 or 4 times to make sure it's right because the calories just seem like they're too low. I do this every time I make a recipe with spaghetti squash! I use the USDA food food database to verify all my entries, and measure in grams on a food scale, so I know that they're accurate, but it still seems unbelievable sometimes.

I made a ridiculously decadent dish of homemade chili over a large portion of spag squash layered with low fat cream cheese, low fat greek yogurt, and 2% cheddar cheese. It came in at 600 calories, but tasted like it was double that! I kept looking at it wondering if i'd missed an ingredient!

Anyone else do this?

greek yogurt is such a great 'fake' that it freaks me out sometimes when i make savory dishes with it. i feel you!

It really is! I recently switched to greek yogurt to replace sour cream and I sometimes can't tell the difference!

Thanks for the tip - made a chili just the other day and was wondering what to use instead of sour cream. Will give Greek yoghurt a go!

Let us know how you like it. I think it really gives that creamy mouth-feel that you get from sour cream, with the added bonus of extra protein.
