+ No weight loss surgery (achieved through habit modification, nutrition, and exercise).
+ I haven't counted calories in almost (if not more than) a year.
+ I do not micromanage or restrict food. What I eat is on Instagram.
+ I exercise daily to feel good (primarily in the form of weightlifting, walking/hiking, and biking).
+ I rarely weigh myself.
+ My resting heart rate dropped from high 80s to low 50s.
+ I am no longer on any medication (used to have stage 2 hypertension, was pre-diabetic, and slept with a CPAP machine).
5 lessons I wrote many months ago, and continue to embrace daily:

Outstanding! Now following you on IG! Amazing job!1

Holy cow, you look great! I hope this is not too personal a question, but I started my weight loss with a big droopy belly and now, 5 months in, I have a smaller but wrinkly belly. Did you have much of an issue with loose skin? If your skin improved, how long did it take?1

One of my key philosophies is to do what makes you happy. Calorie counting is a fantastic tool. After about a year of me logging, though, I had a better understanding of a calories, nutrition, and portion sizes and found the logging cumbersome and not something I wanted to do every day of my life, so I stopped. Calorie counting is neither right nor wrong and I simply highlight that I don't anymore for others who wonder if it can be done.5 -
Amazing achievement! Well done! X x1

The bottom of my belly is somewhat wrinkly. For as much weight as I've lost though, I don't have as much loose skin as I would have anticipated having. I am fortunate in that I am quite muscular, but I've also conscientiously been working to keep as much muscle as possible through weightlifting.
My belly area still does have a significant amount of excess fat to be burned though and I do anticipate having skin removal surgery at some point in the future.4 -
Holy moly.... That's impressive!
Are you planning on losing more weight, and do you think at some point you'll have to start logging again as you get closer to your goal weight with smaller deficit?1 -

I'm not actively trying to lose weight for the purposes of losing weight and reaching a certain number. My body is really just doing its own thing (in its own time) in response to me generally eating nutritiously so that I have the energy to enjoy the physical activities that make me happy. This hands-off approach is really stress-free for me...I don't foresee me ever logging again and I have no "ideal" body or weight in mind. It's really just about living and enjoying the happiest, healthiest life I can on any given day (recognizing, too, that "happiest, healthiest" life can vary from day-to-day).12 -

That is the classic example of what people mean when they talk about making a life style change rather than dieting. Your success story should be a sticky that all new members must read!3 -
Yassss girl you are doing it! It seems so overwhelming when you start and it seems so far away but you did it!0
