So this last month I have been making very healthy meals my plate is 75% veggies, I've been replacing beef with turkey. In the last week I've gone for two 20minute walks a day and cut out 1000 calories a day in beer... why haven't i lost any weight? :(

You may not immediately see the scale move. But keep up the good work. You're on the way to seeing pounds drop off but the scale isn't always the way to measure progress. You will notice you feel better as well as losing some of the bloat. Keep it up!

How are you measuring your food?

    Which veggies?
What's the gram weight of each veggie?
What's the other 25% on your plate?

What are your other daily meals, snacks, conveniences, opportunities, and don't cares like?

    What do you drink?

What goal for a rate of weight loss did you choose when you created your mfp account?
What is the calorie target mfp gives you?

How many people do you cook for in your home?

Do you pre-plan your daily meals, logging each item in advance in your food diary?
This isn't necessary, but many of us find it helpful.

Pardon me, I must leave this discussion and go put 17 grams of kimchi in my food log. It's less than 7 calories, but it's the principle if the program.

    Pick a reasonable deficit.

Weigh everything on a food scale- all solid and semi solid foods.

Choose a balanced diet of protein, carbs and fats.

Beef isn't always better than turkey by the way. Learn about nutrition and food labeling.

    Take measurements and pictures.

    Be patient.

If you have been consuming less calories per week than you have consumed than you should have lost weight in a month. I think your problem here might be: 1. You are not measuring your foods correctly 2. You are not consistently updating your diary or 3. You are binge eating/having cheat days
