you consume your calories within the first 8 hours of waking up? From what I've read, everybody seems to wait hours after waking up before they start eating. I have to have breakfast right away, and I could also never exercise in a fasted state. My days probably aren't as long as most people's since I sleep 9 hours or so, but I wake up hungry and have all my meals pretty much within 8 hours. My last meal is hours before I go to bed, then I read 1 - 2 hours, then I go to sleep. And for me personally it's easier to deal with a little stomach growling before I go to sleep than waking up and having hours of "active time" in a fasted state ahead of me. I don't do this with IF in mind, it just happens to be how I eat since I've been on this website. Just wondering if the supposed benefits of IF apply to me as well.

    Yep, doesn't matter if it's 16/8 or 8/16.

Well, I said "supposed" because I'm not really sure if they exist and if so, what they are

There is no health benefit. But it does help some people eat all their calories without a specific time period, for me, by eating later it keeps my hunger in check. For some, it means less dishes to do lol.
