you consume your calories within the first 8 hours of waking up? From what I've read, everybody seems to wait hours after waking up before they start eating. I have to have breakfast right away, and I could also never exercise in a fasted state. My days probably aren't as long as most people's since I sleep 9 hours or so, but I wake up hungry and have all my meals pretty much within 8 hours. My last meal is hours before I go to bed, then I read 1 - 2 hours, then I go to sleep. And for me personally it's easier to deal with a little stomach growling before I go to sleep than waking up and having hours of "active time" in a fasted state ahead of me. I don't do this with IF in mind, it just happens to be how I eat since I've been on this website. Just wondering if the supposed benefits of IF apply to me as well.

Yep, doesn't matter if it's 16/8 or 8/16.1

There is no health benefit. But it does help some people eat all their calories without a specific time period, for me, by eating later it keeps my hunger in check. For some, it means less dishes to do lol.1
