this is really my first time really trying to lose weight, so things are confusing me. so please dont laugh cause i really want to know if this first on is just me. i find myself in the bathroom alot more. is that common with losing weight? and my other question is i am meeting my calories for the day, with the working out and all. but either going over or under with my carbs, fat and protein. is that ok? like i said i really am trying to learn sorry if my questions seem silly.

I try to stay under cals, fats, and carbs, and go over on fiber, calcium, and protien....but baby steps! Weighing and measuring your food and staying under calories is a big accomplishment~

Yes, major shifts in your diet will affect your bowels, especially if you are eating more fruits and veggies.
It took me about 3 weeks to get used to eating less carbs, fats, and sugars...but now I feel great and my body notices when I make poor choices. A happy meal actually made me feel sick.

never apologize for asking a questioN!!!!!
in my experience, yes being in the bathroom a lot more is part of it. 1- because you are drinking more water and 2 because you are eating more fiber.
and going over/under on your macronutrients (carbs fat and protein) is part of the learning curve. as you start to make different food choices i think you will find that your numbers in the diary will balance out as you figure out what works for you
    Have a great day!

If you're drinking more water and eating more water-heavy foods (fruits, veggies) then yes, you'll be in the bathroom more. You're also probably eating less salt, which means less of the water you consume will be held on to.

For your other question, start off small. Get yourself used to staying within your calorie limits. Once you feel comfortable, then try to balance out your nutrients. That being said, the nutrient break down isn't necessarily a big deal, as long as most of your food is coming from healthy sources.

No such thing as silly questions.

    Here's my two cents:

1: it's absolutely normal to be in the bathroom more often. When you start losing weight/eating healthy your body processes more efficiently.

2: I wouldn't worry too much about the individual things like sodium, carbs, protein... unless you have a specific reason to. The first goal is to initiate weight loss so as long as you aren't obscenely over/under on them it's not an issue. Once you get closer to your goal weight you may focus on them more to meet specific goals like muscle mass etc.

I am in no way an expert but I hope this helped
