Mad at myself

So I have been gaining and losing the same 35 lbs for the last 3 years, takes me a couple months to lose it, and a couple to gain it back, so about 4 times a year I go through this...(anyways nd even after the 35 loss I still have about 30 to go) anyways, when I lose it, I never feel like it's really THAT big of a change...but THIS time I gained it back and I really see it...in the mirror, in my clothes, I went from a 14 to an 18 so I know I gained it all in my stomach and hips this time....just one word of advise (because I'm sure I'm not the only one who does this) don't think just because you don't see it, even just 35 lbs makes a HUGE difference. ..I currently am back in the process of losing it again, altho until this 35 lbs is off I am not really celebrating the loss...happy it's coming off ...yes, but it never should have been put back on...down 3.5 of the 35 so at least I'm headed in the right direction..also have refused to by new clothes...I have a few pair of yoga pants I am making work until I can get back into my jeans...ugh I really am upset with myself !

    35lbs in a couple of months is a VERY unhealthy rate of loss - probably why you cant keep it off.

    The key is to make life changes, in your nutrition, exercise and how you see your body and your health. Never stop making changes, never stop making it a priority. It's much easier when it's just a routine, rather than just doing it to lose weight.

    It is just burnout and if you have too much stress that happens. I know I lost 20kg (about 50lb over a year and a half) and then gained it back in half the time. Watch the intake and if you go over (or under) calorie limits don't stress, just try to not repeat those days.

    Have you asked yourself why you keep gaining it back? What's causing you to stop eating the way you were when you were losing weight? Is it too restrictive to where you don't feel you can be on it permanently?

    It make not just be diet or exercise, are you getting enough sleep or could stressful factors cause your cortisol levels to rise thus making you gain weight?

    Don't be hard on yourself! Having that attitude isn't going by to help just eat clean, train dirty and take it one meal at a time....if you mess up, don't keep messing up (that's my problem I'll have a cheat meal feel guilty and then just keep eating poorly

    Been doing this for years and years and years, for my size 35 lbs is not alot to lose in just a few months..really even 2 months..mostly I get out of whack with thyroid and meds, and become very inactive, and sleep every chance I get. I do have a very physical job, but I work odd days and hours. Been over weight my whole life, I am still almost 80 lbs lighter than I was 15 years ago..so I know how to lose it and keep it off...just have been having a hard time lately..
