Can bodyweight training make you stronger or just lifting weights can? If not why cant bodyweight training make you stronger?

It definitely can make you stronger. You have to know how to progress them properly, but there's lots of info out there on how to do that.0

You can definitely progress faster and at a more efficient rate with weightlifting, but the answer is still "Yes, you can get stronger doing bodyweight exercises".1
