Bodyweight training question?

Can bodyweight training make you stronger or just lifting weights can? If not why cant bodyweight training make you stronger?

    It definitely can make you stronger. You have to know how to progress them properly, but there's lots of info out there on how to do that.

    But how? I do bodyweight exercise all the time and don't get me wrong I have a decent amount of muscle from it but it's just why cant I still lift things heavier then me?

    At a certain point, you will just spin your wheels with bodyweight exercises. You have to have progressive overload to get stronger and bigger. Some can do that with bodyweight exercises, some can't.

    You can definitely progress faster and at a more efficient rate with weightlifting, but the answer is still "Yes, you can get stronger doing bodyweight exercises".
