Hi! So for awhile I have had unrealistic weight loss goals, and have always got discouraged and have been unable to meet them. So now....after a LONG relapse, and gaining back 16 pounds. ...I am really ready to lose this weight. So my new realistic weight loss goal is to lose 5 pounds a month. My long term goal is to lose about 35 pounds, which, if I stick to this short term goal of 5 pounds a month, will get me where I want to be by March of 2012! Thats only 7 months!

So who is with me ? If you want to join in, get and offer support and encouragement, then let me know! We can be friends and encourage each other along the way! So lets get to work and get losing this weight and achieving our goals!

Sounds awesome - that is what I have been doing - choosing short-term monthly goals instead of long term big goals. Good Luck:smile:
  • I'm there! I'm kinda struggling right now but since November I've lost about 30-40 lbs and recently have gained about 9 lbs back...ughh!! I've gotta long ways to go but really trying harder now and also adding in some excercise finally!! Good Luck!

I think 5lbs a month is a great goal. And it's something I've been setting for myself as well. It's good because at the end of the month, there is still a difference, but it's not something unrealistic that will discourage you. Way to go!

Such a great attitude and goal, I've been aiming high and always get discouraged, hence I've been on this website for almost a year with only yo-yo results. I'm in!

    SW - 173

How are you doing today? I'm doing a 2-week bootcamp which requires me to get up at 5.30 every day to go and work out. Just finished day 3 and I am quite sore! Feeling great though which makes it easier to make healthy food choices (especially now that my personal trainer watches my MFP diary!!)

    Have a great day! :flowerforyou:

Hey! How is everyone doing so far ? Just checking in! I have not weighed myself, LOL, I will only do that on Sunday mornings, 1 a week...I dont want to become obsessed! But I have been eating a thousand times better and fitting in a little exercise at least in each day this week! I will be happy if I lose at least a pound this week!

Still doing great so far! Will be halfway through the bootcamp tomorrow, my energy levels are up and hopefully tomorrow I will be a little less sore :-) Looking forward to a lie-in on Saturday though!

I don't know why but this time feels different. This time I am really determined to do this, to succeed, and it feels great!

    Have a lovely evening! :flowerforyou:

We have very similar goals, except mine is 45 pounds with April 2012 as the month to meet my goal. I've increased my workouts to six times a week in anticipation of meeting this goal, along with healthy eating. Let's encourage one another! Smart goal setting on your part -- good luck - but I don't think you'll need it!

So, one week later, how are you ladies? I'm afraid I might not be on the right track for this challenge.... I'm already 4.4 pounds down after 2 weeks and I want to keep going :-)
