I'm shopping for racing flats...I'm a heavier runner (210) and I'm an overpronator. Anyone have a pair they absolutely love and would recommend? I've already been to a running store and tried several pairs on...just looking to make the best use of my $.

I bought a pair of Asics GEL-Hyper Speed 4's back when I was almost 220. I overpronate really bad and I've had no problems with 'em. I've been an Asics guy my whole life so my opinion is probably skewed There really isn't much difference between racing flats. They have very little support compared to normal running shoes since they have to be lightweight. My racing flats are almost half as light (7.4oz vs. 13.9oz) as my training shoes. I've got 73 miles from 14 races on the shoes so far.0

My understanding was that heavier runners (myself included) aren't good candidates for racing flats.
What kind of pace do you run at?0 -
Nice! I ended up picking out those Asics on my own! They did well today...I'm at about an 8 min mile.0
