I've been a swimmer my whole life. I haven't been swimming really at all in months. For the past year I've been going to an "orange theory" like gym. I love it! I'm stronger faster, leaner and more efficient.
My pool just opened up and i did some workouts this weekend. Today I averaged a 1:21 per 100 yards pace! I felt smooth and fast.and surprised myself at how fast I was since I haven't really been swimming.
I need to work on my endurance though.
I can't believe how much weight lifting has improved my life!

I had the same experience with half marathons and running in general. I spent all winter pounding weights came back to racing this spring and my time was off the charts and I recover so much quicker1
