Calorie counts for MFP exercise entries

Quick question: when I enter an exercise entry such as "Walking, 2.5 MPH", is the calorie count based on my entered weight or is it just an average amount for any person?

I believe it is taking your stats into consideration- but keep in mind, MFP often is way too generous with calorie counts, so you will need to monitor (if you are eating back all of your exercise calories) if you are losing weight at the rate you want. I have found I can only eat back between 25-50% of my exercise calories that MFP gives me and stay on track so I manually edit the calories to be 25-50% of what MFP tries to give me. But everyone is different- some people eat none back and some people eat all of them back and stay on target.
Good luck!1 -
Good advice, thanks! The # seemed high to me, thank you for the clarification1

It is based on your weight. Mfp pall gives me a very low calorie count for walking, but it matches up to my runninghead account as well as other online calculators.1
